Homemade
Baked
Beans
3 cups
of white
beans
3/4
pound of
fresh
salt
pork
1
tablespoon
of
prepared
mustard
1
teaspoon
of
ground
ginger
2
tablespoons
of
molasses
Salt and
Black
Pepper
to taste
1
tablespoon
of brown
sugar
Soak the
bean
overnight.
Rinse
and
drain in
the
morning.
Cover
with
cold
water,
boil for
15
minutes
and
drain.
Put the
beans in
a
buttered
baking
dish and
add the
other
ingredients.
Place
the salt
pork in
the
beans
with the
rind
exposed
and
cover
with
boiling
water.
Bake
covered
at 300
degrees
for 6
hours.
Remove
the
cover
for the
last 30
minutes
to
brown.
